Improve safety by knowing the location of your workers underground

Tracking is a positioning system that allows you to locate personnel and equipment in real-time. NL Technologies offers two types of Tracking systems:

  • WiFi Tracking
  • RFID Tracking

Both systems are managed through the Northern Light Digital™ Tracking software which displays the location of assets underground. Asset location is identified using tracking tags. Tags transmit RF signals to readers which link to the software via the Northern Light Digital™ Network. Tags can be stand-alone or integrated into the cap lamp to eliminate tag battery replacement and reduce lost tags.

RFID Tracking offers two types of Tracking tags:

  • Personnel Tag
  • Vehicle Tags

Personnel tags can be embedded into the Northern LightCap Lamp

Hardware Features

  • Configure settings, including site ID, Tag Age and Transmission Repetition interval
  • Integrate tags into the cap lamp, or use as stand-alone. Tags are encapsulated in a moulded ABS plastic case and ultrasonically-sealed during manufacturing
